Our Be Fair Committee brings together experienced professionals from medical, legal, and mental health fields, along with agency and parent representatives. Together, they provide guidance and oversight to create and uphold policies, help navigate sensitive decisions and maintain the highest ethical standards throughout each journey.
Their work touches every part of the process—from how surrogate partners are supported and compensated, to how medical decisions are made, privacy is protected, and all parties are cared for emotionally and physically.
In practice, this means:
• Ensuring surrogate partners participate freely, with full understanding and access to emotional and medical support.
• Encouraging respectful boundaries and communication between intended parents and surrogate partners.
• Setting policies that protect everyone’s wellbeing — such as speed of processes, rest periods between transfers, single embryo transfers, and adequate training and preparation.
• Prioritizing the long-term wellbeing of the child and the family being created.
